Quotes and acceptance
Information you send about a project is an inquiry and does not by itself constitute an accepted assignment. A project is accepted once the quote, schedule, and payment terms have been confirmed with you. Published rates are starting rates; see the pricing page.
Pricing
- Rates are based on standard 25-line transcript pages.
- Full transcript production includes transcription, editing, formatting, and final proofreading.
- Scoping and proofreading packages include two separate stages of review.
- Expedited services cost extra.
- Holiday expedited requests are quoted individually.
- Extensive audio preparation and unusually complex projects are quoted individually.
- Basic audio preparation is included in standard production rates.
- Volume pricing and negotiated rates are available for established agencies and recurring clients.
- Minimum invoice amounts are not additional surcharges.
Payment terms
- New clients generally pay a 50% deposit before production begins.
- The balance is due before delivery.
- Approved established agencies may qualify for Net 15 or Net 30 invoicing.
- Other terms may be negotiated.
Turnaround and expedited services
- Next-day full transcript production may be available by custom quote.
- Turnaround begins the next business day after all required files and instructions have been received.
- Deadlines depend on project length, complexity, and audio quality.
- Large trials, appeals, and complex projects receive individually agreed deadlines.
- Weekend work does not automatically incur an additional fee.
- Expedited pricing applies when shortened turnaround is requested.
- Holiday expedited services may carry an additional premium.
- All expedited requests are subject to availability.
- Clients should contact Liberty Scoping before submitting time-sensitive projects to confirm scheduling.
Cancellation
- Clients are responsible for work completed before cancellation.
- Deposits are applied toward completed work, and any unused balance is refunded.
